West Ham were reportedly hoping to sign Andreas Pereira.

West Ham’s hopes of signing Andreas Pereira appear to have been damaged by Jose Mourinho’s sacking at Manchester United.
The Mail reported over the weekend that West Ham were hoping to land Pereira on loan.
Pereira starred at Valencia last season on loan at began this season in United’s line-up, earning a call up to Brazil’s international squad.
He has not started a Premier League game since August, seemingly being blamed for United’s defeat to Brighton.
Now Mourinho has been sacked, Pereiras has a fresh chance, and new motivation to stay at Old Trafford when it seemed that an exit was in his best interests.

This is a blow for West Ham as Jack Wilshere has just been ruled out with another injury.
Pereira would have been an ideal replacement for Wilshere, playing a similar role as a deep lying playmaker for their clubs, with ability to run with the ball and drive forward.
West Ham should still enquire after Pereira, but his situation is now far more clouded.
He chose to stay put in the summer and fight for his place at Old Trafford, and it would be strange if he decided to move on now, when he has a fresh chance.
