Motherwell midfielder Lee Lucas has explained to The Daily Record his experience of working with current Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers at Swansea City.
Lucas has recently joined Motherwell on a contract which will see him remain at the Scottish Premiership until January 2017.
The 24-year-old midfielder worked with Rodgers when the current Celtic boss was in charge of Welsh outfit Swansea.
The former Wales Under-21 international’s only appearance for the Swans’ first team came under Rodgers.
Lucas has fond memories of working with the former Liverpool and Swansea manager.
“Brendan Rodgers gave me my first team debut at Swansea and was really good in the early stages of my professional career,” Lucas told The Daily Record.
“It’s mad to think we’re both in Scotland now and I’m sure I’ll bump into him. I’m looking forward to my first game against Celtic and I’m sure he’ll hear eventually I’ve signed at Motherwell.
“It will be nice to to see him and catch up when we play them. He was really good with the young players coming through at Swansea. He looked after the young boys as well as the experienced players.
“He treated everyone the same. It was good to spend a few years under him and train with him every day. He was a massive part of my development.”
Rodgers was appointed the Celtic manager in the summer and has done quite a good job at the Bhoys.
The Glasgow giants have progressed to the group stage of the Champions League and are also going strong in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic will take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle away from home at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
The Bhoys will head into the match on the back of a 7-0 defeat to Barcelona away from home in Champions League Group C.
