Motherwell fans react to reports Celtic are plotting £1.2m move for David Turnbull

Celtic have already been warned Turnbull will cost them much more than that.

Motherwell fans are reacting to reports linking Celtic with an approach for David Turnbull.

According to The Daily Mail, Celtic are ‘plotting a £1.2 million move’ for the Motherwell midfielder, but face competition from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Turnbull scored 23 goals in 34 games this past campaign to earn the Scottish football writers’ player of the year award, and it is claimed Neil Lennon hopes to make the 19-year-old one of his first signings as the new, permanent Bhoys manager.

But responding to the rumour on Twitter earlier, the Motherwell CEO, Alan Burrows, insisted that Turnbull won’t be sold for anything less than a club-record fee.
