Blackburn Rovers hold the unwanted record of spurning the most big chances in the Championship, but there is better news for Leeds United.
Blackburn Rovers boast two of the Championship’s leading scorers, with Rudy Gestede and Jordan Rhodes plundering 19 goals between them.
Things could have been even better for the Ewood Park outfit, though, with their eighth-place standing considerably improved.
A return of 32 efforts in 21 games is respectable enough, but Gary Bowyer’s men have squandered more big chances than any of their second-tier rivals.
Middlesbrough have also seen more opportunities pass them by than they would have liked and know that one more goal would have them sat top of the table at present.
At the opposite end of the scale, Leeds United are showing that they tend to make the most of chances which come their way, along with Charlton Athletic, Fulham and Cardiff City.

Blackburn will not be too disappointed to find themselves at the top of the table above, with chances having to be created in order to be spurned.
As long as they are posing an attacking threat, there is every chance that they will end the campaign inside the top six.
Leeds, and those around them towards the bottom, will be pleased with their return so far, but they may also feel that it is a reflection on their inability to carve out enough opportunities.
