Some Manchester City fans on social media have been raving over Riyad Mahrez after his performance in the Champions League semi-final against PSG.
The Algerian netted the winner in the first-leg, but he somehow topped that with a decisive brace in the second-leg.
Mahrez has rediscovered the form that saw him win the PFA Player of the Year award in 2016, and he looks a farcry from the player who struggled to get off of the bench in his first season at City.
The winger is now undoubtedly one of City’s most-important players, and if the Manchester outfit do go on to win their first Champions League, they will have Mahrez to thank.
Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not City can overcome either Chelsea or Real Madrid in Istanbul, but after Tuesday’s performance, you’d be a fool to write them off.
