Jack Grealish told Match of the Day that Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, is ‘our most talked-about player’ after England beat Germany 2-0 at Euro 2020.
On a historical day for English football at Wembley, the Three Lions beat the German’s for the first time in 55 years in a knockout game.
Tottenham’s number nine, who was criticised for his performances during the group stages, scored his first goal of the tournament yesterday, thanks to a lovely-weighted cross from Grealish.
After the game, Grealish admitted that he was actually going to shoot before crossing to Kane, as Spurs fans will love what he had to say about their player.
“This Euros have been different to many before,” said Grealish. “There is so much tactical stuff going on that’s it is hard for H (Kane).
“He’s probably our most talked-about player. Probably our best player. It’s difficult because teams are going to double up on him and try and get him out of the game.
“So, I don’t think it’s anyone’s fault really, in particular. But when the game opened up in the end, as soon as Luke give me the ball I actually was going to shoot and bring it onto my right foot.
“Then I seen H in the box, so I crossed it for him.”

It’s pretty clear that Kane needs a player like Grealish in and around him to get the best out of his goalscoring talents.
Whenever the Villa man is on the pitch, not only do England seem more alive, but so does Kane.
Yes, he may not have got a goal during the group stages, but what matters most is what happens during these group stages.
And if he starts ripping it up now then he has timed his run back to form to perfection.
