Morgan Schneiderlin, who joined Everton from Manchester United, played against Manchester City on Sunday.

Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has taken to social networking site Twitter to thank the club’s fans.

Schneiderlin featured for Everton in the Premier League game against Manchester City at the weekend.

The 27-year-old midfielder did not start the match at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon, but he came on as a substitute in the 65th minute.

It was the France international’s debut for the Toffees, having joined them from Premier League rivals Manchester United last week for a transfer fee reported by The Manchester Evening News to be worth £20 million.

Schneiderlin has thanked the Everton fans for their reception, with a number of his new teammates have revelled in the 4-0 victory over City on Twitter.
