Morgan Schneiderlin made his first appearance for Everton this year in their latest Premier League win.

Morgan Schneiderlin has taken to Twitter to comment after returning to Everton’s starting lineup for their emphatic Premier League win over Cardiff City on Tuesday night.
A brace from Gylfi Sigurdsson and a stoppage-time finish from Dominic Calvert-Lewin lifted some of the pressure off Toffees boss Marco Silva who was looking for his side to bounce back from three straight defeats.
The game was also notable as it marked Schneiderlin’s return to the squad after several months on the sidelines. The Frenchman’s last Premier League start came back in September, while his most recent appearance came more than two months ago.
But Schneiderlin reminded the Goodison Park faithful of his quality. The 29-year-old was composed on the ball and some of his passing was superb as the Toffees moved themselves up to ninth in the table.

It was certainly the kind of performance that will give Silva the confidence to throw Schneiderlin in on a more regular basis moving forward. He looked much more like the player that had once been one of the top flight’s best holding midfielders.
And following the victory, the former Southampton man took to social media to express his delight at getting the chance his return to the side, while he also commented on his side securing the three points.
