Everton stuttered to a 1-1 draw against Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.
Morgan Schneiderlin has told Everton’s official website that he is happy with his form despite being criticised by large sections of the Toffees fanbase throughout the 2017-18 season.
Before a run of three consecutive starts including Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Swansea City, 28-year-old Schneiderlin had started just three Premier League matches in 2018 with Tom Davies, Idrissa Gueye and Wayne Rooney preferred.
But the France international has returned to the side under Sam Allardyce and seems to have won his place back despite failing to help Everton pick up three points in his three most recent starts.
Schneiderlin stated that he was happy with his form and believes he has always had confidence in his ability, before contributing his recent performances to the work of his teammates.
“I’m happy with my form,” Schneiderlin said. “I’ve always been confident in my qualities, confident of what I do. I have great support from people around me, including my teammates.
“I’ve just concentrated on my football and bring my best for myself, for the Club, for my teammates and I’m happy with my performance, although a win would have been better.”
Schneiderlin has been criticised this season after reports suggested the French midfielder walked out of training in November, along with Kevin Mirallas, something which the former Manchester United midfielder went on to deny.
The 15-time international has three years remaining on the four-and-a-half-year deal he signed in January 2017, which the Daily Star claim is worth a huge £120,000 a week.
