Morgan Sanson has posted on his Instagram ‘never give up’ as he continues to search for first-team minutes at Aston Villa.

On Saturday, Villa suffered a miserable 1-0 defeat to Watford, with Sanson failing to get onto the pitch.

The 27-year-old has only played six league games this season, and after he spent more time on the bench, he sent this message.

It has been over 12 months since Villa signed the Frenchman from Marseille and fans are yet to see the real player inside the individual.

Injuries and lack of game time have played a huge part in that.

Given the performances Steven Gerrard’s side have been putting up in recent weeks, it would be pretty worrying if Sanson doesn’t play against Brighton at the weekend.

One of Villa’s biggest problems has been their midfield and it has to be questioned what he is doing wrong to be dissed in such a fashion.

Douglas Luiz has been out-of-form for a while now, whilst John McGinn also isn’t cooking like he usually would.

Added with that, Philippe Coutinho and Jacob Ramsey have quietened down of late, which further proves that the midfield needs refreshing.

For Sanson’s sake, he will be hoping for that start away at Brighton, and if he earns that, then hopefully he can prove his worth.
