Alberto Moreno was singing ‘You’ll never walk alone’ live on Instagram after the one-time Liverpool man helped his Villarreal side win the Europa League final against Manchester United last night.

Liverpool defender, Andy Robertson, sent a three-word message to his former teammate on Instagram after his triumph in Poland.

Given that it came against Manchester United, it would have been that extra special for Moreno that he was able to help Villarreal win their first major trophy – and he was telling the Old Trafford to ‘get out’ on his social accounts, as he celebrated on the pitch.

Moreno may have had difficult days with Liverpool in England, but his career is picking up once again in his homeland.

And after being part of the Liverpool side that won the Champions League, he now has a Europa League medal to his name once again.

Moreno didn’t start the game, but he did come on as a second-half substitute, before playing in extra-time, and scoring a well-taken spot-kick when the highly-pressured tie was taken to penalties.

And understandably, he was elated at full-time as he helped his side clinch their first-ever major trophy and enter into the Champions League for next season.

This is how Moreno reacted on Instagram after the game, with Robertson sending a message saying ‘Congrats my friend’, as well as Liverpool legend, Luis Garcia, sending his ‘big congratulations’ to the left-back.
