If reports are to be believed, four former Liverpool players could be representing the same club when the 2019/20 season kicks off.

Lucas Leiva has been playing his football in Serie A for Lazio since the summer of 2017, moving to Rome after a decade at Anfield. The veteran Brazilian joined Luis Alberto at the Stadio Olimpico, the gifted Spanish playmaker who failed to make the grade at Liverpool but has blossomed in Serie A.

But could Lazio’s number of former Reds double in size over the next few months? It seems likely with two members of Jurgen Klopp’s squad tipped to join Simone Inzaghi’s side on free transfers.

According to The Independent, Alberto Moreno is heading to the Italian capital with Lazio set to sign the left-back on a pre-contract agreement. The Spaniard, whose current deal expires in July, has offers from Real Betis and Monaco but the Biancocelesti are at the front of the queue.

This report emerged just a week after La Lazio Siamo Noi claimed that 20-year-old Nigerian forward Bobby Adekanye had rejected a new contract at Liverpool ahead of an expected switch to Rome.

Signed in 2015 after spells at Ajax and Barcelona, Adekanye has been linked with a move to Lazio for some time.

And he could find some rather familiar faces if he does indeed swap Liverpool’s red for the sky blue of Lazio.
