Sunderland take on Stoke City, West Ham United, Arsenal, Bournemouth and Hull City in their next five Premier League matches.

Sunderland have started the season in woeful form, but they will be hoping to get back on track after the international break. In this article will predict the results of David Moyes’ side’s next five matches.

Stoke City (away) – 1-1 draw

Neither side will want to lose this, given their abject starts, and it is likely to be a cagey affair. Both teams could cancel each other out, in a result that will not suit either Mark Hughes or Moyes.

West Ham United (away) – 3-1 defeat

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic

West Ham will be determined to get a victory here, and their attacking class could prove too much for Sunderland’s defence to deal with.

Arsenal (home) – 2-0 defeat

If Sunderland still haven’t won by this point, the atmosphere around the Stadium of Light could be toxic. Arsenal have the quality required to pile on further pressure by winning this game too.

Bournemouth (away) – 2-2 draw

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe

The Cherries have shown some signs of weakness over the early part of the campaign, and Sunderland may have a chance of getting something from the south coast.

Hull City (home) – 2-0 win

Sunderland will have to be looking at this match as one which they need to take three points from. If Moyes’ side deal with the pressure, they should overcome Hull.
