Speaking on the UMM YouTube channel, Thierry Henry has been waxing-lyrical about Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Henry, due to his Arsenal links, isn’t the biggest Tottenham fan in the world, but even he has to admit that Kane is just pure class.
What’s been said?
Henry was asked if Kane was one of the best finishers the Premier League has ever seen, and he believes that the England captain is right up there with the greatest.
“I’ll go down with that. People thought he was going to be a one-season wonder. I remember early doors. Then they were like let’s see if he’s going to do it for two years. Then he did it for two years. ‘Now let’s see if he can do it for England’ – listen, now nobody can talk about that anymore,” Henry said.
‘I said so many times, I think I said it four years ago – he will smash Alan Shearer’s record if he stays in England. That is if he stays in England because he’s that good. Now he has to do it. Because obviously it’s easy to say, but the record of the big man is really high. I think Harry Kane, what you just said, that’s more than true.”

Up there with Henry
It was unthinkable that Tottenham would ever have a player as good as Henry was for Arsenal, but Kane is right up there.
Kane will soon eclipse Henry’s Premier League goals tally, and if he carries on at his current rate, he’ll quickly be breathing down Alan Shearer’s neck at the top of the pile.
Of course, whether or not his future lies with Tottenham remains to be seen. After all, he’s been strongly linked with a move away this summer.
Regardless of whether or not Kane stays with Spurs, he’ll certainly go down as one of the Premier League’s greatest ever forwards.
