Leeds United duo Patrick Bamford and Kemar Roofe will be tasked in scoring the goals for Marcelo Bielsa’s side next season, but will they both still be at the club next term?

Towards the back end of last season, Patrick Bamford became a bit of a Villan for Leeds United and a much-criticised figure for his antics.

It didn’t help that his diving antics, and the poor performances he put in towards the last few weeks of the Championship season, coincided with Leeds blowing their chance of earning promotion to the Premier League.

As ever, whoever is tasked in scoring the goals at Elland Road, they will always be under huge pressure – a feeling Bamford and Kemar Roofe should be used to now.

But Roofe is seemingly attracting a lot of interest from elsewhere this summer, with Premier League duo Crystal Palace and Brighton being the latest clubs keen on his signature, as reported by Sky Sports.

If Roofe does leave Elland Road this summer, and such deal taking place is a long way off, then it would more pressure on Bamford’s shoulders.

There’s no doubt that he can score the goals needed for Leeds, but injuries, off-the-ball antics and just falling off at the right time last season didn’t provide the Chelsea youth product with a good mix.

If he ends up bringing that into the new Championship campaign, along with Roofe potentially not being there, then it could result in him being made a main target of criticism.

The Elland Road faithful will want both their forwards to still be at the club next season because it’ll increase their chances of earning promotion.

They will also be hoping they can stay fit because both players missed a good chunk of the previous campaign, which without a doubt, played its part in Marcelo Bielsa’s side missing out on a top-two finish.
