There’s reportedly been a development in Fenway Sports Group’s ownership of Liverpool.
FSG revealed in November that they were listening to offers to sell the Anfield outfit.
There’s been a lot of speculation since then about new prospective owners but it would appear as if there was minimal substance to the rumours.
And now, The Boston Globe in the United States have reported that the Liverpool custodians have decided on a ‘partial sale’ rather than a full-blown takeover on Merseyside.
Here’s how Jose Enrique reacted to the development on Instagram:

Technically, Enrique, a former Liverpool left-back, is correct in just looking at the money side of things.
Providing Jurgen Klopp is well equipped in the transfer market as usual, many fans of the Anfield club won’t be desperate to see the back of FSG.
Since their takeover on Merseyside, Liverpool have been massively successful under the Boston-based owners and there isnt a lot of bad blood there from a fan’s perspective.
The bottom line is whether Jurgen Klopp’s side continue to be a threat on the field.
Of course, this season there’s been a massive decline in the quality in comparison to the 2021-22 campaign, which saw Klopp’s troops almost win the quadruple, but they’ll undeniably bounce back under their world-class manager.
And whether it’s a partial sale or a full takeover, Liverpool will be in a good place.
