Nottingham Forest avoided relegation to League One on the final day of the season, staying up on goal difference with Blackburn dropping down a division.
Their survival at least gives them a chance of holding onto their top players, although in the case of Ben Osborn it might not be easy.
The Sun reported last month that Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is keen on signing Osborn this summer.

The midfielder’s performances this season make it easy to see why.
Osborn ranked second in the Championship for chances created in 2016/17, bettered only by Fulham star Tom Cairney.
He outperformed Brighton’s player of the season Anthony Knockaert, who is Premier League bound with the Seagulls.

Osborn signed a five-year contract at the City Ground last summer, the Nottingham Post reported, and the club hold the cards when it comes to his future.
Newcastle though have a big transfer fund to dip into, and could put together a bid which Forest find hard to refuse.

The BBC reported Newcastle could have up to £100 million to spend this summer, although this could also work in Forest’s favour if it causes them to elevate their ideas to look at players who are proven in the Premier League.
Osborn’s performances suggest he is deserving of a crack in the top flight, if Newcastle follow up their reported interest.
