What a rotten month September was for Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs lost three key players – Cristian Romero, Giovani Lo Celso and Davinson Sanchez – to quarantine after they disobeyed club rules by playing for their countries away to red-listed South American countries.

Oh and the team’s form was absolutely horrendous, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side losing all three of their Premier League games – conceding nine, scoring one.

The 3-1 defeat by Arsenal in last week’s North London derby will particularly have hurt the club’s fans, because it was Arsenal and they were 3-0 up inside 35 minutes.

It’s a new month now but there might be more bad news coming for Nuno in the form of an injury.

Tottenham hammered Mura in Europa Conference League action last night but Football London has reported that Lo Celso – who scored his side’s second goal of the evening – was seen limping after the game.

This comes from Alasdair Gold, who exclusively covers the Lilywhites for this publication and therefore a very reliable source.

The Argentina international hasn’t been exceptional for Spurs this season, but his goal on Thursday might’ve seen him come to life a little more and this potential injury isn’t good news, particularly with Tanguy Ndombele being so erratic.
