According to the Sunday Mirror (October 21st, page 67), scouts from Arsenal and Everton, along with Leicester City, Southampton and Watford, are ‘flocking to Hamburg’ to watch him.
And it is possible Christian Titz’s side could look to turn a quick profit on Bates, for whom Rangers are said to be due a fee as little as five figures.
Rangers brought in three new centre-backs, Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic and Joe Worrall to replace Bates, Russell Martin, Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso.
