According to The Athletic, Arsenal are interested in signing Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak.
Edu and Arsenal’s recruitment staff are said to adore the 21-year-old, who has blossomed since moving to La Liga in a deal worth £5.6 million.
As covered by us over the past few days, the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are uncertain.
As a result, Isak could come in to replace them, if one, or both, forwards depart the Emirates Stadium.
So, given his lack of experience, you might be wondering what type of player the 22-cap Sweden international is.
Forget Zlatan Ibrahimović comparisons
Naturally, and quite lazily too, Isak has been compared to Zlatan Ibrahimović quite a lot.
Both players are tall, and originate from Sweden, but that’s probably as far as the popular comparison reaches.

Interestingly, The Athletic gave a far more detailed analysis of the forward.
The Athletic analysed which Premier League players Isak is most similar to, and found that he’s 88% comparable to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Furthermore, the wonderkid is 95% like Jamie Vardy, and is described as similar to the Leicester man, but better at dribbling.
Former Malmo and Sweden striker Daniel Nannskog said his fellow countryman was on a ‘monstrous’ run of form when speaking to Goal back in February 2020.

That season saw him score twice against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, and once against Barcelona inside the Camp Nou.
In the season just gone, Isak scored 17 goals in 34 La Liga appearances, which is incredible.
Only five players score more, while Isak’s tally was higher than Antoine Griezmann’s 13 goals.
If Arsenal do sign the towering prodigy, it seems he would be tailor made for life in the Premier League.
