The Leeds United player may get chances with the summer loan signing ruled out for the next few weeks.

Following the news that Leeds United play-maker Pablo Hernandez will be out of action for two or three weeks – as confirmed by Garry Monk via the club’s official Twitter account – it offers another player the perfect chance to prove his worth.
Alex Mowatt was widely expected to replace Hernandez for the recent clash with league leaders Newcastle United, but instead Monk surprisingly gave Kalvin Phillips a more advanced role and it failed spectacularly.
It is an experiment unlikely to be repeated for this weekend’s clash with Rotherham United, so what chance Mowatt getting a chance to shine?
In some ways it could be now or never for the 21-year-old, who is out of contract at Elland Road in the summer.
A series of matches played out of position have not helped Mowatt, who was once tipped for great things at the Whites, but with Hernandez unavailable Monk should play the youngster in the number 10 role.

After all, that is where Mowatt is at his best, not pushed out wide and certainly not overlooked altogether.
With the games coming thick and fast for Leeds, now is the time for Mowatt to step up.
Monk needs to take a chance, but if he does and the player responds with his best form, it could yet save Mowatt’s Leeds career.
