Leeds United beat Burton Albion 2-0 at Elland Road this afternoon.
Leeds United manager Garry Monk has told BBC Radio Leeds that he feels Kemar Roofe has stepped up in recent weeks – but Stuart Dallas may not be back until after the international break.
The Whites picked up a fifth league win in the last eight games this afternoon by beating Burton Albion 2-0 at Elland Road.

As the game entered the final ten minutes, it looked like Leeds were going to be left frustrated, but Souleymane Doukara was fouled in the area, and Chris Wood stepped up to hand Leeds and 83rd minute opener from the penalty spot.
Doukara then sealed the victory in added time, finishing off a counter-attack to wrap up all three points for Garry Monk’s side.
The result leaves Leeds just one point off a play-off place, and momentum is really building at Elland Road, and manager Monk is starting to gear Leeds up for a push for the top six.

After the final whistle, Leeds manager Monk spoke to BBC Radio Leeds about the game, and was full of praise for attacker Kemar Roofe.
The summer signing from Oxford United has endured a slow start to life at Elland Road but has really impressed of late, and Monk suggested that Roofe was Leeds’ brightest spark against Burton.
Monk added an update on winger Stuart Dallas’ injury situation, claiming that the Northern Ireland international may not be seen until well into next month having suffered an injury on international duty earlier this month.

“It’s been great to see, I think Kemar has stepped up,” said Monk. “The last four games I think we’ve seen more and more of Kemar. Today, I felt he gave everything. We brought him off, I think physically, after 120-odd minutes in midweek, and playing Wolverhampton which as very physical as well, he gave everything. We brought him after about 70 minutes off as he gave everything, and he deserved a goal today. He was the one in the first half who I felt was our brightest spark.”
“I’ll be honest, I don’t think we’re going to see Stuey until we come out of the international break. It’s not gone as quickly as we would’ve liked, he’s not been back into training. He’s out on the pitches doing his running, but he’s not back quickly enough for next weekend, so that means that it’ll be five or six weeks since he’s kicked a football, so he’ll need at least a couple of weeks of training. I’m disappointed with that, but it is what it is, and we have to make sure that we look after the players, and he’s ready when he comes back,” he added.
