Head coach still gives little away regarding new contract.
Leeds United manager Garry Monk
Leeds United head coach Garry Monk met up with supporters at a specially convened meet and greet event earlier this evening.
Monk was joined by key staff members Pep Clotet and James Beattie, with club legend Eddie Gray also in attendance.
It was a chance for Monk and his team to get even closer to the supporters who have taken him to their hearts after surpassing realistic expectations for the season.
Leeds are up into the play-off places, and are attempting to chase down one of the automatic promotion spots.
Monk and Pep Clotet both sent messages expressing their pleasure at an enjoyable evening.
Uncertainty over Monk’s future still exists, with his one year contract set to expire on June 30.
The international break perhaps is the perfect time for Leeds’ owners to sit down with Monk and thrash out terms of a new deal.
His continued close bond with supporters will surely only make it even tougher to walk away.
