Leeds United head into 2023 in need of a change. The Whites’ season so far hasn’t gone to plan.
They’re sitting just a few points above the relegation zone, and if it weren’t for last-minute wins against Leeds and Bournemouth, they’d be firmly in the bottom three by now.
Simply put, this team is lacking something, but luckily, there could be help on the way.
Indeed, the January transfer window represents a chance for the Whites to dip into the market and strengthen their ranks.
Victor Orta needs to provide Jesse Marsch with reinforcements next month if the Whites are going to completely stave off the threat of relegation, and with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting the Yorkshire club’s potential post January XI.

We think that Leeds may make two additions next month.
The first is a new left-back.
United have needed a new full-back for quite some time. Junior Firpo has been injury-plagued and out of form for absolutely ages now, while Pascal Struijk is better served as a centre-back – hence his place in this team.
Kai Wagner is the player we’re tipping to slot in here. He’s been linked with Leeds for quite some time now, and according to The Athletic, the Whites do remain keen on the defender heading into January.

The other new addition in our team is a familiar face. Chris Wood comes in as an attacking depth option.
Wood, of course, was a star for Leeds under Garry Monk.
The New Zealander has barely been getting a game at Newcastle, and Leeds have been linked as of late, so a return to Elland Road may not be out of the question.
It remains to be seen what Leeds do next month, but they may well need some additions if they’re going to secure a mid-table finish.
