Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are reportedly determined to sign Jeremy Doku from Rennes in the summer transfer window.
According to TMW, Aston Villa are about to make a second bid for Jeremy Doku after Rennes turned down their initial offer for the versatile player.
The report has claimed that Villa’s first bid for Doku was €25 million (£21.65 million).
Rennes rejected it.
The Premier League club are now planning to make a second bid of €30 million (£25.98 million) for Doku.
TMW have claimed that new Villa sporting director Monchi personally wants to bring the 21-year-old Belgium international winger to Villa Park.

In our opinion, Jeremy Doku would make Aston Villa a better and more potent team in attack.
The Belgian is one of the best young players around and is rated very highly.

Former West Ham United defender Anton Ferdinand raved about Doku on the Five YouTube channel in April 2022.
Ferdinand said: “I really really like Jeremy Doku, I really like him. The pace and power of this kid is frightening and he knows those are his main attributes, and he uses it at every opportunity.”
Doku is also a very versatile player.
For Rennes last season, the 21-year-old played as a right winger, right forward and left winger.
Doku made 13 starts and 16 substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Rennes last season.
The winger scored six goals and gave two assists in those matches.
The Belgium international winger also made two starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League for Rennes last season.
