Tottenham Hotspur could miss out on Tosin Adarabioyo as Monaco ramp up their interest in the Fulham defender.
Monaco are ready to move in for Tosin Adarabioyo as a replacement for Newcastle United target Axel Disasi.
That is according to a report from the Daily Mail, who claim that Monaco are stepping up their pursuit of Adarabioyo.
It’s suggested that Monaco will now hold talks to sign Adarabioyo ‘imminently’ in the hope of striking a deal.
Monaco have eyed up other England-based defenders with Southampton duo Armel Bella-Kotchap and Mohammed Salisu both wanted.
However the drop were considered too expensive and Monaco are now moving for Adarabioyo.
The 25-year-old is into the final year of his Fulham deal and could be landed for a cut-price fee – which suits Monaco.

Bad news for Tottenham Hotspur…
Monaco are hardly alone in the race to sign Adarabioyo with Tottenham Hotspur very keen.
Tottenham want to land two centre backs this summer and an ideal situation would be to add a homegrown defender.
Adarabioyo fits the bill and Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna reported earlier in July that Tottenham would be making a move for the Fulham man.
That move hasn’t really moved forward though and that means Monaco could now swoop in.
Talks over a new deal at Fulham don’t appear to have gone anywhere and they may want to sell up before he can leave for nothing.
That makes the giant Adarabioyo a potential bargain but Tottenham now risk missing out.

Good news for Newcastle United
Tottenham may miss out on Adarabioyo but Monaco’s move for him is good news for Newcastle united.
Monaco want Adarabioyo to replace Axel Disasi in the heart of their defence with Newcastle strongly chasing the Frenchman.
Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg reported over the weekend that Newcastle are ‘pushing a lot’ for Disasi’s signature.
Manchester United are keen too but it’s Newcastle who seem most interested in landing Disasi.
That Monaco are preparing for his exit by ramping up a move for Adarabioyo suggests that Disasi may be on the move very soon – and Newcastle is his most likely destination.
