Monaco have signed Keita Balde which could free up Liverpool’s move for Thomas Lemar, a potential double blow for Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur face a testing end to the week as they seek to strengthen their squad before the transfer deadline passes.
They are yet to sign any attacking players, and they risk two potential additions moving elsewhere – with one already off the table.

The Ligue 1 side last night confirmed his signing on a five-year deal.
Lazio valued him at £27 million, with The Guardian reporting earlier that Spurs were keen on a move.
Another player Tottenham are keen on is Monaco attacker Thomas Lemar, but SkySports report that Liverpool are most likely to make a move.
Monaco have already signed Steven Jovetic and Keita Balde’s arrival is a further indication they are preparing for last minute departures of star men Lemar and Kylian Mbappe.

Lemar scored 14 times last season and Keita bagged 16 goals, and either would have improved Tottenham’s forward options. Just one option now remains.
Balde’s move could benefit Spurs if it allows them to get Lemar, but if it is indeed Liverpool who win the race then it would be the worst possible outcome for Daniel Levy’s last minute negotiations.
