West Brom have taken Momo Sissoko on trial for a week.
Momo Sissoko of Liverpool
Free agent Mohamed Sissoko has told Sky Sports that he is hoping to return to face former club Liverpool as he bids to win a contract with West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies endured a frustrating end to the transfer window, but manager Tony Pulis is now looking towards the free agent market in a bid to strengthen his squad at The Hawthorns.
Whilst former Arsenal and Crystal Palace attacker Marouane Chamakh is on trial with the club, another free agent is also training with the club in midfielder Sissoko.

Sissoko, 31, is a free agent having left Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua in February, and is now being offered the chance to win a contract at The Hawthorns.
A powerful midfielder who stands at 6ft 3in tall, Sissoko played for West Brom in a friendly against Indian side Delhi Dynamos on Saturday, and could add another physical presence to the Baggies’ midfield.
Formerly of huge clubs such as Valencia, Liverpool, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, Sissoko brings bags of experience and huge pedigree – and he’s hoping to secure a Premier League return with West Brom.

Sissoko, who earned 34 caps for Mali, has told Sky Sports that he was pleased to play against Delhi Dynamos, and revealed that manager Pulis simply told him to enjoy his trial spell and talks over his future will come shortly.
Sissoko added that he would love to face former club Liverpool again, as he has great memories of his time under Rafael Benitez at Anfield.

“I feel good. I was really happy to play for 60 minutes at The Hawthorns and I am confident I can do well here,” said Sissoko. “It’s been a long time since I left England. I’ll be here with West Brom this week and we’ll see what happens after that. The manager has told me just to come and enjoy it and then we’ll sit down and talk about my future. But I’m really happy to back with a club in one of the best league’s in the world and I hope I can stay here.”
“I have a lot of good memories from my time at Liverpool. It was a great time in my career and I hope I can go back there with West Brom or another club and enjoy some good moments with my ex-team,” he added.
