Momo Sissoko says he was disappointed to miss out on a move to West Bromwich Albion.
Momo Sissoko has told French website Onze Mondial that he was disappointed not to clinch a move to West Bromwich Albion recently.
Sissoko was a free agent after his release by Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, and held negotiations with the Baggies over a switch shortly after the transfer window closed.

The former Liverpool midfielder is now 31, and recently joined Indian Super League team Pune City on a short term contract.
Sissoko also held talks with Marseille, but quizzed by Onze Mondial whether he regretted not clinching a contract, he said that West Brom were the team he really had the best feeling for.
He said: “If I have regrets, it is that I regret not having signed for West Bromwich Albion.
“For me it was a very good challenge. Fate has meant that I have not joined these clubs there. We’ll see in January.”

Pressed further over a January solution, Sissoko simply responded: “We’ll see. I do not control my destiny. I focus on what I can do: play football. the opportunities we’ll see. Anyway, I’m ready. People who have faith in me will make me sign. That’s all.”
In the interview Sissoko also spoke of his confidence he can still play at a high level, but he has not played in Europe since his release by Spanish side Levante in 2015.
This means teams must show a leap of faith in signing him, and makes a mid-season deal more difficult, but Sissoko is hoping his spell in India will improve his match fitness and sharpness, and provide some recent game tape that prospective coaches can check out and run the rule over.
