Ian Wright has said on ITV (10pm, January 9, 2023) that Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah will be feeling good heading into the North London derby against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur this coming weekend.
Arsenal will take on Tottenham in the Premier League this coming Sunday.
The Gunners will head into the North London derby on the back of a 3-0 win against Oxford United away from home in the third round of the FA Cup.
Former Leeds loanee Nketiah scored two goals.
The £100,000-a-week (LondonWorld) striker found the back of the net first in the 70th minute and then on 76 minutes.
And Wright was impressed.
The Arsenal legend believes that the brace against Oxford will have boosted the 23-year-old striker’s confidence heading the North London derby against Tottenham.

Ian Wright on Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah ahead of Tottenham match
Wright said: “It’s sad to lose Gabriel, but Eddie has taken his chance. He has come in. We know what he is capable of.”
The pundit added: “All you want now in this situation is the momentum of this FA Cup, keep it going to the next games and the next games, and he will start, so he will feel confident and he will be feeling good about going into the next game.”
Confidence
Confidence is a big thing for footballers, and Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is now full of it.
Yes, it was ‘only’ Oxford United, but it was still a competitive match.
Nketiah took his two goals well, and the timings of his runs throughout the game were very encouraging.
We should not be surprised if the striker does manage to score against Tottenham in the North London derby this coming weekend.
