Moise Kean has spoken to the media for the first time following his exit from Everton during the transfer window.

The Italy international left Goodison Park to join Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan, after just one season with the Toffees following a £25.1 million move from Juventus.

Kean told RAI Sport (via The Daily Mail): ‘I am not particularly upset to have left English football, even if the banner from the Everton fans really moved me, as I wasn’t expecting it.’

It’s clear that leaving Merseyside hasn’t saddened the striker too much, although it’s interesting to hear that he was left emotional by a banner made by supporters.

Admittedly, Kean’s debut campaign for Everton wasn’t great – he netted just two goals in 33 appearances.

However, he is only 20 years of age, and presumably felt a lot of pressure as a result of his £25.1 million move.

The Vercelli-born forward – who Spotrac say earns £2,765,000-a-year, equalling £53,173-a-week – was also experiencing a new country for the first time as a teenager at the time of his arrival.

In fact, his recent exit was a strange decision from Ancelotti.

Kean had scored two goals in just four games this term, and was one of few backup options to deputise for Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

However, he was allowed to leave, as too was Theo Walcott, leaving the ex-Real Madrid boss with few attackers in reserve.

Hopefully, Kean can learn from the likes of Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe at the Parc des Princes, which would stand him in good stead to kick on at Everton when he eventually returns.
