Mohamed Elyounoussi has singled out Celtic team-mate Fraser Forster for praise.

Neil Lennon’s side made it to seven points from three Europa League group games on Thursday by beating Lazio 2-1 at Parkhead.

Celtic snatched a last-minute winner through Christopher Jullien, but Forster arguably provided the foundations for the dramatic victory with a series of fine saves.

The English goalkeeper, who re-signed for the Hoops on loan from Southampton this past summer, was one of Lennon’s biggest and best players on the night.

And Elyounoussi, also on loan from Southampton following a £16 million transfer in 2018 [The Scotsman], has paid tribute to his ‘unbelievable’ team-mate.

He told The Scottish Sun: “They had a few counter attacks and Fraser was unbelievable for us, some of his saves were incredible and he kept us in the game.”

Forster has been a revelation since returning to Paradise and it’ll be interesting to see what the dynamic is when Scott Bain returns.

The Scottish keeper was already struggling at the time of his hand injury and Craig Gordon was smelling blood, so it’s very possible that Bain will actually be Lennon’s third-choice option once he’s fit.
