Mohamed Elneny has said on Arsenal’s official YouTube channel that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is already a legend in Egypt.

Arsenal defensive midfielder Elneny plays with Liverpool star Salah for the Egypt national football team.

Elneny said on Arsenal’s official YouTube channel: “I go for Salah of course. Mohamed Salah is a legend now in Egypt and he is still playing.

“We know that legends are usually when they finish their careers but when they are still playing and people look at you like a legend. When you are still playing, this is something big.”

Big player for Liverpool

There have been criticisms of Salah in recent weeks, as Liverpool have struggled in the Premier League and may not even finish in the top four.

However, the 28-year-old is still banging in the goals for fun and remains a player on top of his game.

As stated on BBC Sport, the former Chelsea attacker is actually the top scorer in the Premier League this season with 17 goals.

During his time at Liverpool so far, Salah has won the Premier League title and the Champions League and has been key to the Reds’ success.

Salah is at the top of his game, and given that he is still only 28 years of age, there is still more to come from him, and perhaps he will win more major trophies with the Reds.

There is no surprise that people in Egypt consider the Liverpool forward a legend.
