According to The Shields Gazette, Mohamed Diame will earn a one-year contract extension if he plays 25 games for Newcastle United this season.

Diame is out of contract at Premier League club Newcastle at the end of the season, according to The Shields Gazette.

The 31-year-old midfielder has made 21 starts and one substitute appearance in the league for the Magpies so far this season, according to WhoScored.

This means that if the Senegalese players three more matches, then he will trigger a one-year contract extension, according to the report.
