Mohamed Diame has been one of Newcastle United’s best performers in recent weeks.

Mohamed Diame appears to be enjoying a remarkable turnaround at Newcastle United.

Diame was booed off by his own supporters earlier this campaign, during Newcastle’s match against Everton.

However, Rafael Benitez has kept faith in the central midfielder, and his trust his been rewarded in recent weeks.

Diame has become one of Newcastle’s most in-form players lately, with the central midfielder catching the eye.

And Newcastle fans are starting to admit that their opinions on Diame are changing.

Diame could now stay in Newcastle’s starting line-up, as the pressure mounts on Benitez’s side.

The additions of Kenedy and Islam Slimani have increased Newcastle’s attacking threat, and Benitez will be hoping that he now has enough firepower at his disposal to guide his side away from the drop zone.

Newcastle are next in action against Crystal Palace on Sunday, and if they can pick up a victory in the contest, they could move into 11th place in the Premier League table.
