Modou Barrow’s message on Twitter to Leeds player seven months ago

Modou Barrow did not expect to be joining Leeds back in July, but a couple of Leeds fans tipped him to.

Little did Modou Barrow know last July, but he would be exiting Swansea City on loan months later and following Kyle Bartley and Matt Grimes to rejoin their former boss Garry Monk.

Barrow on transfer deadline day to join Leeds on loan until the end of the season, having penned a new Swansea deal last summer which runs until 2019.

Last July when Grimes clinched his season long deal, Barrow wished him well… and supporters tipped the Gambian to join him.

Months on, these two Leeds fans got their wish, with Barrow having been made surplus to requirements by new Swansea boss Paul Clement.

Grimes on the other hand has had a very disappointing season, having failed to make any positive impression since signing.

He has been used sparingly and struggled when given a chance, and is the one Garry Monk signing which has not worked out to be a success so far.
