Sevilla striker Moanes Dabour is in a tricky situation in Spain.

Liverpool didn’t add another first-team attacker this summer, but maybe they should have done given the recent injury to Divock Origi.
Fans won’t want to see Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah burn out this season, but the lack of quality alternatives in Jurgen Klopp’s squad mean they will be relied upon heavily once again.
Klopp may look to bring in another forward in January just to bolster his squad, and one name potentially on the market is Sevilla new boy Moanes Dabour.
Earlier this year, Tuttomercatoweb reported that Dabour, then with Red Bull Salzburg, was desperate to join Liverpool, and was just waiting for the call to head to Anfield.
That move didn’t materialise as he instead agreed to join Sevilla for €15million (£13million) this summer, as noted by Football Espana, and after a staggering record of 37 goals and 16 assists for Salzburg last season, he looked destined for success.
However, Sevilla appointed Julen Lopetegui as their new manager over the summer, and he really hasn’t taken to Dabour. The Israeli international hasn’t even made his competitive debut under Lopetegui, with El Desmarque covering Lopetegui’s issues with the striker.

At 27, Dabour won’t want to waste time sitting around at Sevilla, and with Javier Hernandez and Luuk de Jong signed too, his chances of breaking into the starting line-up seem slim.
A January move may be on the cards for Dabour, just months after he was hoping for his dream move to Liverpool. He may well be an option to consider for Klopp and co as a low-risk squad option, but having failed to move earlier this year, targeting him whilst he’s down the Sevilla pecking order would be a surprise.
