Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic will face RB Salzburg at Celtic Park in the Europa League on Thursday.

Celtic will take on Salzburg at Celtic Park in Europa League Group B on Thursday evening.
Brendan Rodgers’s side are second in the group with nine points from five matches, six points behind Salzburg – who have already won the group and have gone through to the next round – and three points clear of third-placed Leipzig.
The Hoops need just a point to book their place in the knockout stages of the Europa League this season.
Celtic have some of the best and most passionate fans, and the Celtic Park faithful will be crucial in the Hoops’ quest to draw (or win) against Salzburg.
Salzburg striker Dabour, though, believes that Celtic fans will actually help his side step up their game and win against the Glasgow giants on Thursday evening.

Dabour, 26, told The Daily Record: “Clearly in Glasgow it will be a different story in front of 60,000 loud supporters and it will bring out the best in us.
“It’s always nice to play in beautiful stadiums in front of a lot of fans. We have already qualified of course but be sure we want the three points because we really want a perfect record in the Europa League.”
While it is encouraging that Salzburg are going for the win at Celtic Park, given the occasion and what’s at stake, Celtic will be more determined and more hungry that their opponents.
