Aston Villa fans have reacted to an image of Mo Salah and Trezeguet which was put up on the Liverpool forward’s Instagram.
The duo are heading to the Africa Cup of Nations to represent Egypt and Salah posted an image of the Villa winger sleeping whilst the Liverpool player is standing above him with a big grin on his face.
The Villa fans joked that Trezeguet still hasn’t recovered from a quite embarrassing incident during his side’s defeat to Brentford on Sunday.
In the dying minutes of the match, as Villa were chasing the equaliser, Trezeguet went down in the box like he was shot by a sniper.
As Trezeguet drove forward with the ball, and then started to lose control, at the slightest of contacts, he went down like he was re-acting something from the Matrix.
Even Villa supporters were critical of his actions and made reference to that when Salah put up a picture of the duo.
These Africa Cup of Nations is going to provide Trezeguet with some much-needed minutes because he has just returned from a long-term injury.
The versatile Villa forward is better off coming off the right flank, but that spot belongs to a certain Salah.
Either way, Egypt will be one of the favourites for the tournament, alongside Senegal and Algeria.
