Mo Salah has thanked his now-departed teammate Fabinho for ‘everything you have done’ after he secured a transfer away from Liverpool and to Saud Arabia Pro League side, Al-Ittihad.

The 29-year-old becomes the second Liverpool player this summer to secure a transfer to Saudi Arabia, after Jordan Henderson linked up with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq.

On Tuesday evening, Mo Salah took to his Instagram to tell Fabinho that ‘you will be missed’ as Jurgen Klopp’s side now begin life without a number of their senior stars.

On top of Fabinho and Henderson, the likes of James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita have also left this summer.

Three of those were expected and left on free transfers, but the other two weren’t been talked about leaving, before the Saudis came knocking.

Nonetheless, this was the message Salah posted via his IG to Fabinho after his recent exit.

“Thank you for your friendship and for everything you have done for the team over the years,” said Salah. “You will be missed, Flaco (skinny). All the best, @Fabinho.”

Mo Salah to Saudi?

Given that Salah is a big-name player and also a Muslim player, then you have to question, when the Saudis will come knocking for him?

It wouldn’t be a surprise if it happens in the near future because if they are serious about building their brand, then someone like Salah could add to that.

The Liverpool fans won’t like to hear it because of how important the Egypt star is to them, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if that door knocks.
