Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports News (2:08pm, September 18, 2021) that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah does not get enough credit.

The former Arsenal star believes that Liverpool ace Salah is one of the greats of the Premier League.

The Sky Sports pundit has said that although the 29-year-old misses chances, he is “different class”.

Merson said on Sky Sports News (2:08pm, September 18, 2021) when asked if Salah is a Premier League great: “100%, 100%. He is a proper, proper player. I am with you. I think he doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

“I think sometimes he is a bit wasteful, don’t get me wrong. I think he could probably put double more goals on that, he really can. “

The Sky Sports pundit added: “His finishing is absolutely phenomenal. The lad is absolutely different class.”

Is Mohamed Salah ‘great’?

In a word, yes.

Salah is a Premier League great.

Just look at the stats.

The Egypt international has scored 101 goals in 163 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

That is a frightening record.

It becomes even more impressive when you factor in that Salah is not a number 9.

The former Chelsea player is a winger/forward who generally starts on the right and cuts in.

Opposition defenders know what Salah is going to do, but they are still unable to stop him.

He is that good.

Salah has also won the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool.

The Liverpool forward is at the top of his game at 29, and there are no signs that he is slowing down.

The forward still had a fair few years left in him at the highest level.
