The Newcastle United player has not been good enough this season.

Newcastle United player Mo Diame may have retired from international football to focus solely on his club career. However the Senegalese midfielder will have to do a lot more than that to get the boo boys off his back.
Diame has featured 33 times for Newcastle since arriving at St. James’ Park in the summer but despite scoring six goals his performances have left a lot to be desired.
Along with Jack Colback, Diame has been the player to attract the most criticism from fans for a raft of sub-par performances and while he can now focus solely on domestic matters, it will take an almighty turn around to ensure he is remembered as anything more than an under-performing flop.
Newcastle still have work to do to ensure they gain automatic promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, and Diame must prove his worth by inspiring some vital victories between now and the end of the campaign.
Saying you want to focus on your club is one thing; actually playing well on a consistent basis is quite another.
