Signed on loan, was Mo Barrow a terrible signing by Leeds United or purely a desperate one?

There could just be two games left for Mo Barrow to prevent his Leeds United spell becoming a complete disaster.
He does not presently look close to making that turnaround.
Barrow was not even named on the bench for Leeds’ weekend fixture, a must win game away at Burton Albion. They lost 2-1.
The Swansea City winger has made only one league start since signing on deadline day, failing to impress in a loss at Brentford.
He had made four previous appearances as a substitute, and has not figured since.
Considering the fact Leeds United needed a big impact player capable of dragging them over the line into the play-offs, Barrow has been a woeful failure.
Partially a victim of circumstance, but it was easy to foresee
Leeds’ requirements placed up against Barrow’s non-contribution makes the deal look like one of the worst in years.
They needed a game-changer. Barrow can’t even get a game.

To blame the winger for Leeds’ form in recent games though would be misguided. They have suffered defeats without him, and not because of him.
Leeds’ failings to invest in January to sign a player like Sergi Canos are coming back to haunt them, and co-owners Massimo Cellino and Andrea Radrizzani should share the blame.
Barrow was the result of a desperate grab late on deadline day with alternative options off the table.
His failure does not come as a surprise either. Barrow is on his third loan spell in the Championship, following tenures with Nottingham Forest and Blackburn, and came up short in both, without netting a goal or making any sort of positive lasting impression.
While there are two matches remaining for Barrow to somehow reverse his fortunes, it is not currently looking good for his chances of doing so.
