An injury ruled Sporting KC’s No. 1 out of Sunday night’s 3-1 defeat at Orlando City after he had been stellar in midweek, having produced a seven-save performance to help Peter Vermes’ men earn a 0-0 draw in Portland.
CB – Bobby Burling (Colorado Rapids)
After Wednesday night’s 2-0 defeat at Vancouver, the 30-year-old stopper helped the Rapids get back on track against D.C. United on the weekend, complimenting a solid defensive performance with his second goal of the season in a 1-1 draw.

Dallas’ 2-1 victory over New York City FC at Toyota Stadium on Saturday saw the versatile Brazilian score straight from a corner seconds after setting up Tesho Akindele’s 45th-minute opener.
RW – Adrian Winter (Orlando City SC)
The Swiss summer signing stepped up in Kaka’s absence, bagging his first two MLS goals against Sporting KC to earn Orlando their first win since 1 August.
AM – Sacha Kljestan (New York Red Bulls)
The Red Bulls playmaker produced an assist and seven key passes in Friday’s 3-2 victory over the Chicago Fire, as well as netting what proved to be the winner from the spot 20 minutes before time.
LW – Cristian Techera (Vancouver Whitecaps)
The Uruguayan winger may be small in stature but he came up with a big display against Colorado, grabbing a goal and assist to send the Canadian outfit back to the top of the Supporters’ Shield standings.
ST – Kei Kamara (Columbus Crew SC)
The former Norwich City and Middlesbrough striker became only the 15th player to score 20 goals in an MLS season when he netted two first-half strikes in the Crew’s 2-1 win at the Philadelphia Union. With five games left, his MVP odds are looking good.
ST – Obafemi Martins (Seattle Sounders)
Seattle looked to be heading for a 1-0 defeat at the San Jose Earthquakes until the ex-Newcastle United forward came up with a world class finish eight minutes from the end – his fifth goal in the past five games – to hand his side a share of the points.
