The striker hasn’t been a regular for Newcastle this season, but he could thrive at West Ham.

A new striker is likely to be on West Ham United’s list of priorities in the January transfer window given that they have only mustered 14 goals in the Premier League this season.
Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has been linked with a move to London Stadium, as reported by The Sun, and the move would be an excellent opportunity for the Serbian for the 23-year-old to get his career back on track.
Mitrovic has endured a miserable time at Newcastle this season as he has been restricted to just six Premier League appearances, with Dwight Gayle and Joselu being preferred ahead of him.

Under Moyes, however, Mitrovic could start to perform consistently if given regular game time.
In his short time at West Ham, Moyes has already managed to get the likes of Arthur Masuaku and Pedro Obiang performing effectively when they previously struggled.

Mitrovic is strong and has impressive positioning, while he is also good aerially and would be able to make good use of Masuaku’s crosses.
The Serbian possesses similar qualities to an existing West Ham striker in Andy Carroll, but the latter’s fitness record remains a concern.
When in Belgium with Anderlecht, Mitrovic scored 36 goals in 69 league games, while he also impressed in the Champions League and could excel if he is given a regular starting place and the team is set up to make the most of his strengths.
Carroll has never scored more than ten goals in a Premier League season, while Mitrovic managed to hit nine in the 2015/16 campaign and would surely be able to exceed that tally if he played frequently.
Mitrovic has time on his side to improve further and develop into a more rounded player, something which could happen under Moyes’ guidance.
Playing Mitrovic alongside Javier Hernandez could work well as the Mexican could be hugely effective and Moyes should certainly push to try and bring in the Newcastle striker.
