Gabby Agbonlahor has criticised Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez for what has been yet another underwhelming season from him.

The controversial pundit named the Colombian international in his flop XI of the season from the Premier League on talkSPORT.

Gabby Agbonlahor decided not to pull any punches and speak his mind about how poor Davinson Sanchez has been for Tottenham Hotspur this season.

The 26-year-old has started only eight games in the league this season, which makes his selection a bit of a surprise.

However, it seems Spurs fans have grown tired of the ex-Ajax centre-back as well, booing him after he was skinned by Marcus Tavernier for Dominic Solanke’s goal in their 3-2 defeat against Bournemouth.

As Gabby Agbonlahor was naming his flop XI of the Premier League season, he was critical of Tottenham central defender Davinson Sanchez.

“Every game I’ve watched him, he’s had a mistake. I’ve been in here with Jamie O’Hara, he’s nearly crying real tears at how bad Sanchez has been. Mistake.com.”

Davinson Sanchez does not deserve to be in this flop XI

Not to say that Davinson Sanchez has not been disappointing during his spell at Tottenham but considering how less he has played, it is harsh for Gabby Agbonlahor to have named him in his flop XI.

After all, there are plenty of defenders in other sides as well as Spurs that perhaps warrant a selection ahead of Sanchez.

For instance, Cristian Romero, who has largely been lauded since joining the club has been a shadow of his former self this season.

Especially since the World Cup, mistakes and rash decisions have typified Romero’s performances.

As for Eric Dier as well, he continues to prove that if Tottenham aim to become a top side one day, they might have to move players such as him on as he has been consistently poor for them over the years.

With that in mind, Sanchez’s selection does seem unwarranted.
