Hernandez has scored or assisted five goals in as many league games for Leeds United this season.

Pablo Hernandez looks to have allayed fears his injury could keep him out for longer than expected. The Leeds United winger – who has not appeared at any level since the final week of August – was tipped to return during Friday’s Under-23 team fixture against Burnley at Elland Road.

But whereas fellow injury victims Gaetano Berardi and Kemar Roofe did play in that game – in doing so putting themselves in contention to feature for Leeds at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday – Hernandez was nowhere to be seen, causing some Whites fans to grow concerned.

The Spaniard, however, at least has his boots back on, as evidenced by the following Instagram story update, which he posted on Wednesday lunchtime.

Leeds have only won two of a possible eight matches since Hernandez got injured.

The 33-year-old had scored three goals and assisted another two in his five league outings this season.
