Few Celtic fans were pleased to see Kieran Tierney leave the club in August 2019.

Despite receiving a club record £25m fee, supporters realised they would struggle to replace a player of his quality.

On the day that the Scottish champions fell 19 points behind in the title race following a 1-0 defeat against Rangers, they were given another reminder of just what they’re missing.

After struggling with injury in his first few months at the Emirates, Tierney quickly won fans over with his performances upon English football’s return in June.

The 23-year-old was named the club’s Player of the Month for June, and went on to lift the FA Cup at Wembley.

Despite the inconsistent form of Mikel Arteta’s side during this campaign, Tierney has remained a standout for the Gunners.

His stunning solo goal in Saturday night’s 4-0 win against West Brom has earned plaudits from supporters of his former club, not to mention the likes of Gary Lineker and Chris Sutton.

Tierney made 170 appearances for Celtic before heading to the EPL.
