Mirco Antenucci suggests that he is leaving Leeds United.

Mirco Antenucci has suggested on Instagram that he is leaving Leeds United.

The Italian striker joined Leeds from Ternana in the summer of 2014 and has a contract until June 2016.

The 31-year-old has posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, suggesting that he is not going to remain at Elland Road for the 2016-17 campaign.

Leeds have posted that message on their official Twitter page, perhaps suggesting that Antenucci will leave the Whites when his contract runs out in the summer.

The former Torino striker scored 10 goals and created 22 chances in 36 Championship matches for the Whites last season. Antenucci scored nine goals in 39 league appearances for Leeds this campaign.

The former Catania man did not have a great time at the West Yorkshire outfit, but there were spells when he looked very good.

Moreover, the constant changing of managers and lack of service from midfield did not help the striker.

Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on Antenucci’s seemingly impending departure.
