Leeds United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Jerry Mbakogu in the summer transfer window.

Mbakogu has been identified as Leeds’ scouts as a player who could make them much more of an attacking threat.
However, the 25-year-old has just six goals in Serie B this season, and his total has been eclipsed by Mirco Antenucci, who Leeds released back in 2016.

Antenucci has nine goals at the level above, and that is hardly a promising sign for Mbakogu.
During his time with Leeds, Antenucci proved to be a decent option for the Whites, but he was hardly one of the club’s striking greats.

And if Antenucci is comfortably scoring more than Mbakogu at a higher level, there has to be some worries over how many the potential new signing could hit at Elland Road.
Leeds bought from the continent last summer, with a mixed record of success, and it seems that they could be gambling again with the addition of Mbakogu.
